Sophie and Marcus got married on a perfectly sunny August day near Seattle, Washington at Christensen’s Garden and Nursery. They had a gorgeous garden party wedding that was effortlessly chic, minimal and gave a sense of luxury.
The couple got ready at the venue in different areas, the bride doing her own hair and makeup. Sophie and Marcus decided to do a first look in front of the old schoolhouse on the property. We then explored the massive venue and took portraits all over. The ceremony was in the back of the schoolhouse, with no need for decor due to the greenery and florals making for the perfect backdrop. Because it is a nursery and garden, the venue had the bride pick out some arrangements from the shop to line the isle with.
You could see the love this couple has for each other all day, during private vows, portraits and bridal party photos with their friends. The bridesmaids wore the same shade of blue, but different styles while the groomsmen wore black suits. Everything about the day was relaxed, joyful and so many happy tears for the best day of their life. The reception was moved inside, and dancing followed on the back porch into the night.
If you are thinking of getting married here, I could not recommend this venue enough! This venue is effortlessly beautiful and perfect if you aren’t wanting to add a ton of your own decor. I currently offer 8, 10 and 12 hour packages. I aim to bring a calm yet fun presence, and want to make sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera. You can expect a perfect mix of documentary as well as guided prompts to make you laugh. This day was one for the books!
